J Yook]The World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Presidential Council on Nation Branding (PCNB) in a ceremony in Seoul, Korea on July 21, 2011. The MOU was inked between WTF President Chungwon Choue and Mrs. Bae-Yong Lee, chairperson of the PCNB at the conference room of the PCNB. Also attending the ceremony was WTF Secretary General Jin Suk Yang and Mr. Dae-Yong Choi, assistant chairman of the PCNB.The main objective of the MOU is to help further globalize taekwondo and enhance its value as one of the nation’s representative brands.

The agreement was supported by 55.9 percent of the 10,045 union members who voted. The company and its union held 16 rounds of 2011 wage negotiations starting with a kick-off meeting on May 25.
