Korean TED ‘tech+ 2012’ Attracts Big Names

[By NBC-1TV H. J Yook]In November 2012, globally renowned figures will visit Seoul.

The new concept knowledge concert “tech+2012,” to be held at the SK Handball Stadium within the Olympic Park in Seoul Nov. 7-8, will provide the venue for an occasion for the convergence of the biggest names in information technology.

Celebrating its fourth anniversary this year, “tech+ 2012,” also known as Korean TED, is the country‘s first and largest knowledge concert where a wide variety of fusion knowledge on industrial technologies will be combined with special lectures, performances and demonstrations.

This year, renowned figures from a lecturer of TED, also called as “world changing 18-minute miracle,” to heads of leading venture firms, are grabbing people’s attention.

Matt Mills, a lecturer of TED Global in June, 2011 and the developer of augmented reality application Aurasma; Dov Moran, the developer of USB memory chip and Israeli venture hero; and Michael Yang, one of the most successful Koreans in Silicon Valley, will be in presence to deliver the message of dream and hope.

Also included in the list of 18 world-class speakers are Daniel Lee, professor of University of Pennsylvania and a robot engineer, and Daniel Altman, the bestseller author of “Outrageous Fortunes,” which predicted future changes in social, economic and environment fronts.
