[By NBC-1TV H. J Yook]Citibank Korea (CEO Ha, Yung Ku, www.citibank.co.kr) was awarded as ‘the Best bank in Korea for 2012’ in Triple A Country Awards for achievement for 2012 which were announced by Asset Magazine. It won the award 10 times during the last 10 years and for 10 consecutive years.

In its editorial on the awards, the Asset said “Citi Korea boasts a strong franchise, offering a full suite of corporate and consumer banking products and solutions. Having one of the largest corporate banking operations in the country, it has the depth and breadth in terms of expertise. Leveraging its global network, Citi Korea offers substantial transaction banking products and solutions such as cash management, trade finance and securities services.”

Also the Asset said “ The bank’s consumer banking operation serves a broad base of retail clients and SMEs. The 2011 introduction of ‘smart banking’- an innovative approach to the retail banking concept - has generated attention from both the clients and the market, as it offers a different banking experience with touch-screen interactive walls and self-serviced work benches.”
