[By NBC-1TV H. J Yook]SUNLED Corp. (CEO Sung Hun Lee, www.sunledcorp.com), a manufacturer specialized in LED lighting, aims to enter the LED lighting market at home and abroad with the company’s chip-on-board technology that is the only one of its kind in the world.

The chip-on-board method is to mold with resin after directly bonding LED chips onto the heat sink as skipping the package process with the production technology of the existing package type and the differentiated high efficient lighting production technology. This method has the high lighting uniformity and illuminating intensity; thus, it may be used for indirect lighting. Also, it can minimize costs.

SUNLED Corp. is currently producing a variety of lighting products through applying the chip-on-board (COB) technology, and also manufacturing by itself all the parts required for LED lighting production, which are PCB, LED module, lens, etc.

This proprietary product system gives the convenient post-management and makes it possible to produce modules, lightings, etc. in accordance with customers’ demanded specifications. The company is currently releasing the products such as high ceiling light, security light, street light, bulbs, slab light, fluorescent lamps, floodlight, golf course floodlight, etc.

SUNLED Corp. has been operating the PC business consistently since its inception as In & Out Corp. in 2003; however, it changed the corporate name to SUNLED Corp. in 2011 to embark on the LED lighting production.

The company has received attention from more than 30 Japanese companies through participating at the Korea Power Saving Product Business Session, which was held in Osaka, Japan. And it was recognized for its potential as getting good responses from the buyers at home and abroad through participating at “the 3rd International LED & DISPLAY Korea” exhibition in August.
